Itinerary

Depart Entebbe after breakfast for the 6-hour drive west, passing through the fertile Uganda highlands with lunch stop en route. Arrive Kibale Forest area — a green cathedral of ancient tropical rainforest — by late afternoon. Meet your ranger for a briefing at your forest-edge lodge; hear the story of how Kibale has become the most successful primate-conservation site in Africa (13 species, over 1,500 chimpanzees living wild).
