Queen Elizabeth NP Wildlife Safari
Uganda’s most popular game park delivers extraordinary diversity — savannah, crater lakes, forest, and the wildlife-rich Kazinga Channel...
Nungwi, on Zanzibar’s northern tip, is a beach lover’s paradise — powder-white sand, warm turquoise water, and no tidal issues unlike much of the island. This 5-day escape combines pure beach downtime with the option to snorkel at Mnemba Atoll (regularly ranked one of Africa’s finest dive sites), enjoy a traditional dhow trip, and dine on freshly grilled seafood on the sand.
Welcome at Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport by your Vines representative. Transfer 1 hour north to Nungwi, on Zanzibar's northernmost tip — where the water is uniquely tide-free thanks to the surrounding coral reef, meaning you can swim any time of day. Check in, into the pool or the ocean immediately. Sunset drinks on the beach as fishing dhows return with the day's catch.
Full day at leisure — sunbathe, swim, snorkel from the beach, or try one of Nungwi's watersports (kite-surfing, paddleboarding, deep-sea fishing). Alternatively, hire a bicycle and explore the fishing village and boatyards where dhows are still built by hand exactly as they were 500 years ago. Beach dinner as the moon rises over the Indian Ocean.
Full-day dhow trip to Mnemba Atoll — one of the finest snorkeling sites in the western Indian Ocean. The 90-minute sail is often broken by dolphin sightings (bottlenose and spinner). Anchor in aquamarine water above pristine coral gardens teeming with butterflyfish, angelfish, moray eels, and green sea turtles. Fresh grilled seafood lunch prepared aboard the dhow. Return under sail in golden light with a rum punch in hand.
Day at leisure — perhaps a spa treatment or a beach yoga session. Late afternoon traditional wooden dhow sunset cruise with canapés and Swahili music on board — a perfect Zanzibar afternoon. Dinner at a beachfront seafood restaurant showcasing the day's catch.
Sleep in, one last morning on the beach, and a leisurely breakfast. Transfer to Zanzibar airport (1 hour) for international departure. If you're extending, we can arrange onward connections to safari destinations across East Africa.
