Uganda Primates Grand Circuit
The ultimate Uganda experience — 8 days covering every marquee highlight of the Pearl of Africa. From tracking...
The definitive East African safari. Ten unforgettable days across the two greatest safari nations — from Kenya’s Amboseli and Masai Mara to Tanzania’s Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Follow the Great Migration across borders, witness the Big Five in their finest habitats, and experience two Maasai cultural traditions. This is the classic African safari at its most complete.
Welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by your Vines representative. Transfer to a boutique Nairobi hotel for a briefing dinner where you meet your safari coordinator and review the ten-day journey ahead across two of Africa's greatest safari nations.
Morning drive south to Amboseli National Park (approximately 4 hours) with a stop for lunch en route. Arrive your lodge in the afternoon with — on a clear day — unmatched views of Mount Kilimanjaro's snows across the border. Late-afternoon game drive introduces you to Amboseli's celebrated 'big tusker' elephants — some of the most photographed animals in Africa.
Pre-dawn game drive to catch the mountain pink at first light. Return for breakfast, then explore Amboseli's five distinct ecosystems — dry lake bed, sulphur springs, acacia woodland, and the wetlands where elephants converge. Afternoon visit to a Maasai boma for traditional music, dance, and cultural conversation with village elders.
Bush flight via Nairobi to the Masai Mara (approximately 3 hours total travel time). Meet your Kenya guide and vehicle. Afternoon game drive in East Africa's most famous reserve — expect lion prides, giraffe herds, and possibly leopard within your first hours on the plains.
Full-day game drives on the Mara plains and river frontage with bush picnic lunch. Depending on season, position for wildebeest river crossings (July-October), cheetah hunting behaviour, or dawn/dusk predator activity. Sundowners on the plains as the sky turns copper.
Cross-border bush flight south into the Serengeti (approximately 1 hour). Meet your Tanzanian guide and vehicle. Afternoon game drive as the plains stretch further than the eye can see — the Serengeti hosts the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth.
Follow the Great Migration herds — nearly two million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle moving as a single organism. Bush breakfast, picnic lunch, and dedicated all-day game viewing. Sundowner on a granite kopje as the Southern Cross rises overhead.
Scenic drive across the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a stop at Olduvai Gorge — the 'cradle of humanity' where the Leakeys uncovered 1.8-million-year-old hominid fossils. Continue to the crater rim for sundowners with panoramic views of the crater floor 600m below.
Dawn descent into the Ngorongoro Crater — six unhurried hours on the crater floor, home to the highest concentration of wildlife density in Africa: endangered black rhino, prides of maned lion, flamingos, hippos, and every other Big Five member. Return to the rim for a celebratory farewell dinner.
Morning transfer down to Arusha (3 hours), lunch at the airport, and onward international departure from Kilimanjaro International Airport.
