Overview

Uganda’s most popular game park delivers extraordinary diversity — savannah, crater lakes, forest, and the wildlife-rich Kazinga Channel connecting Lakes Edward and George. Home to famous tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, plus elephants, buffalo, hippos and over 600 bird species, Queen Elizabeth is a photographer’s dream. This 5-day safari includes a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel and optional chimpanzee tracking in the nearby Kyambura Gorge.

Itinerary

Depart Entebbe after breakfast, driving west via the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre in Entebbe (good for an orientation to the animals you'll see on safari). Continue to the Fort Portal region — a stunning highland area known for its crater lakes and tea plantations. Arrive your lodge overlooking a volcanic crater lake in the late afternoon, in time for sundowners on the deck as the sun turns the water gold.
